Hello, I am Primož from Slovenia. I am in Tallinn on vacation with Golf 4 TDI 74kw 6motion. On my way here - leaving Poland border, I felt some strange vibrations and I realised that dualmass flywheel is near its end. Somehow I managed to drive to Tallin - 6th gear, 2200-2400 rpm, but since I am here 7 days I would need your help to find me mechanic, who will be able to change flywheel and clutch before this friday. It would be nice to find LUK or SACHS kit for reasonable price and not expensive mechanic who has done this on 4motion already. Please help!

I thought about staying with DMF. Are you guys going for single mass?

I have both cars (Bora TDI 85kw chipped) with SMF (bought fitted) and have driven my self ca 80 000 with one of them and i am happy.

Now is monday, I still dont have any clue where to buy parts and where to go. I will start walking around and asking. You are on the right track, the first stop would be local official dealership. They would do the job proper way and give you corresponding paperwork, but would bill you highly likewise.

I know, the G4 is not very prestige vehicle anymore so there is no point to inset large amounts of money in it, But If you like to get back home with working car, I would choose the second option.

On road (walking ) info. I went to shop on J. Kunderi. They will provide price via email in 1 hour.
Then I went to forss, they will have time on thursday or friday to do the work - price is aprox 190€ and clutch is 490 - single mass (they have it on stock) and 600 dual mass (out of stock, will have it in two days). I will check other 2 workshops and then decide.

As you said, car is quite old and not prestige anymore, but it's pretty well equipped, my father was first owner and has low mileage (150km), thus still first clutch, so I have plan to have it some time.

So I have more info:
Møller Auto Mustamäe - 1594 total price, didnt even ask when I can make an apointment
Autohooldus - will send me offer till 18h or tomorrw, they may have time this week or next week to do the work
Forss - aprox 190 work (but maybe they didnt take into the account that it is 4motion) and 600 clutch -aproximate prices - they will have time on thursday or friday
Kunderiauto - 585 dualmass flywheel, clutch and bearing (sachs kit) + arround 250 work, they have time tomorrow

What do you say about Kunderiauto, can I thrust them? It is the closest to where I am right now and so far price seems ok. I am waiting for info, which brand of parts are they using.

Valeo SMF kit from city Võru - 320€. New!

Car was repaired today in the morning. Clutch and DMF are from Sachs, did 100 km and everything looks fine so far. Total 'damage' 850€. Mechanic said that it wasnt needed much for flywheel to fall apart.
In the office I saw installed part numbers, did some search on internet later and happily found out, that they sold me parts pretty cheap, I wouldt get them for such price in Slovenia, but mechanical work was a little bit more expensive. So bottom line everything is ok and I can enjoy Tallinn in mental peace again. I was hoping to see some snow here but all I see is cars with spikes.

Quality is pretty much the same, Neste and Statoil are brands which you can trust in any cases.

Probleem oli küsijal selles, et kahemassiline hooratas "sai otsa" Eestis ja kuna ta ise on pärit Sloveeniast ei osanud murega kuskile pöörduda. Nii ta küsiski foorumist, et kus kohast võiks abi saada ning kahemassilise hooratta Eestis järgneva nädala jooksul ära vahetada. Lõpuks vahetati Kunderiautos hooratas ära ning auto sai korda.
